"Living the Lord's Prayer" - Sundays through August 28 at 10:30 a.m.
While Pastor Kellen is away from worship, we welcome the Rev. Dr. David McNutt (PhD, University of Cambridge) to the pulpit. Pastor David will be sharing the sermon series "Living the Lord’s Prayer."
Prayer is essential to the Christian life. Indeed, John Calvin called prayer “the chief exercise of faith.” But what does it look like to live a life of prayer on a daily basis? During this series, we will consider what Jesus says about prayer by examining the petitions of the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6. By exploring this spiritual discipline together, we will seek to embody the Lord’s Prayer in our lives.
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Stewart Hall – Through August The letter to the Romans stands as the clearest and most comprehensive presentation of Christian doctrine in all the Scriptures. When Paul wrote this magnificent letter, Rome was the cultural center of the world, boasting advancements like sturdy roads and a common language. Roman citizens were able to travel and communicate like never before. To this audience, Paul delivered the most extensive expression of the gospel ever given in Scripture. Romans walks us through the origin of sin and guilt, the impossibility of saving ourselves, and our ultimate deliverance in Christ. Join us weekly for this summer study as we explore the theology and life application of Romans.
